Sub:  Request to maintain status-quo for separate identity in Postal Assistant cadre (PACO) in Circle Administrative Offices/Regional  Offices/DPLI Office, Kolkata due to reasonable administrative grounds.


Respected Sir,

It has come to our notice that Department of Post is going to amend the recruitment rules of P.A/SA cadre and the recruitment rules of Postal Assistant cadre (PACO) will be changed and after change, Posts of Postal Assistant cadre (PACO) will be manned  from the PAs of operative offices who will  be posted in CO/RO for a fixed tenure.

In this connection we would like to request you to kindly consider the request and suggestions given by the General Secretary All India Postal Administrative offices Employees Association vide letter no. AU/A-3/PACO Dated 31st October 2017.(copy of letter is  enclosed for ready reference.)

Further we would like to request you to kindly cause suitable instructions to hold a meeting of staff side and issues should be discussed in detail before arriving on any decision and the concerns raised by the union should be resolved.
