                        No. AU/A-3/Staff  dated 25th October, 2013

To
Ms. P. Gopinath,
Secretary ,
Department of Posts,
& Chairman,
Postal Services Board,
Dak Bhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi – 110001.

Sub: Request for immediate filling up of vacant posts in the cadre of PACO & MTS in Circle Administrative Offices i.e. in the office of the CPMGs and PMGs.

Respected Madam,

This has the reference to this union’s letter of even no. dated 01.05.13 and also 08.07.13. The proposal for revised RR’s for PACO- it was stated, lying with DOPT long back for vetting only. But uptill now no further information is there. So many posts in PACO cadre are lying vacant in different circle offices causing un usual problems and complications in dealing with the work of the circle administrative offices. People are seriously anxious and waiting with agonies as even in other segments i.e. in all wings – PA/SA/PASBCO examination has been completed. We are only suffering from acute shortage of staff in different circles for huge number of retirement. An immediate action will mitigate our sufferings.

Therefore, you are earnestly requested to intervene to rescue us from this suffocating atmosphere on priority basis so that the people working in circle administrative offices can get some mental relief and can function effectively for smooth functioning of postal services.

       With respectful regards,

                                                                                                Yours faithfully,

                                                                                             Pranab Bhattacharjee
                                                                                                    General Secretary
